Move over Kardashians, here come Kylie and Kendall

Now that Kim Kardashian has been married just a few days, Khloe's almost been married two years and Kourtney is happily co-habitating with Mason's father Scott Disick, is it time for Kendall and Kylie Jenner to take over the Kardashian-Jenner spotlight?

The jenner girls

We first saw 12-year-old Kendall and 10-year-old Kylie in the first season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians where they mocked Kim for her conceited ways and danced around their house as Brody Jenner and his friend Frankie Delgado chased them around.

Now, Kendall, 15, and Kylie, 14, are just as involved in the style spotlight as big sisters Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are. Kendall has grown into her sultry look and Kylie can be recognized from her signature doe-eyed stare. Not only do they have their Kardashian sisters' cutting-edge style, but they also model professionally and are athletes.

Modeling and athletic talent

Kendall was the new face of Forever 21 and then modeled prom dresses by designer Sherri Hill. She also has a modeling contract with Wilhelmina Modeling Agency. Though, at 14 years old, Kendall did a controversial bikini shoot, which raised critics' concerns for it being so racy. Kylie modeled for a Sears campaign and has done photo shoots with OK! and Teen Vogue. Both Kendall and Kylie currently model for Nick Saglimbeni.

Both girls are cheerleaders, while Kendall also runs track at her school. Their father, Bruce Jenner, won a gold medal for track and field in the 1976 Montreal Summer Olympics. The girls naturally have an athletic background and if Kendall proceeds with track, has the ability to follow in her father's footsteps someday.

Bruce and kris jenner's views

But is that what the girls want? In episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, it's obvious that Bruce Jenner is a protective father. And as we have seen the girls get older, they've become more resistant to his protective parenting ways and have slided into the shared spotlight with their older sisters.

Will Kendall and Kylie Jenner follow in their big sisters' limelight-dense footsteps? It seems as though the spotlight has already taken a liking to them. The girls are already friends with celebrities such as Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez. So, with all this celebrity attention surrounding them, is their increasing fame inevitable? Kris Jenner is already their mom-ager, and as we know from her relationship with her Kardashian daughters, she's not afraid of the spotlight shining down on her family.

YouTube sensations

The girls already love being in front of the camera. Not only do they star in Keeping Up With The Kardashians and make appearances in their sisters' spin-off shows, they have their own YouTube channel with more than one million views and more than 65,000 subscribers.

Only time will tell of what's to come from the Jenner-Kardashian duo, but as far as we can tell, they are on a celebrity fast-track to fame. Pretty soon, the Kardashian sisters will have to keep up with them.

Will Kendall Jenner get any attention on her Sweet 16 today?

Little sister of Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney, Kendall Jenner turns 16 today! As a birthday present, E! is giving Kendall her very own Sweet 16 birthday television special.

Kendall Jenner turns 16 today.

How could we forget another Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, turns 16 today? While big sister Kim Kardashian made headlines for her birthday a few weeks ago and arguably bigger headlines with her recent divorce to Kris Humphries, we still think Kendall Jenner deserves the spotlight for today.

Us Weekly reports E! is letting Kendall in on her share of the reality television spotlight, too -- they've confirmed Kendall will be getting her own Kardashian special which will "detail the weeks leading up to her 16th birthday party." While Kendall doesn't appear to be shy -- she's a model and a cheerleader -- her mom, Kris Jenner, reported to E! that Kendall doesn't want a huge over-the-top bash. "She's not a partyzilla. Her mother is tough. I wanted this big party for Kendall and she was like, 'Mom, calm down!'"

So what does a daughter from a family with millions want? Just about what every other 16-year-old does -- a new car. Kris explained both she and Bruce think it's a reasonable gift request. "Every teenager wants a car when they turn 16 because it gives them that sense of freedom. Kendall has to ask to be driven everywhere and her school is kind of far away from where we live so I think it would be a good thing for Kendall to have some wheels. So it just depends. She's such a great kid!" No word yet on what exactly the type of car she'll be driving around Los Angeles in, but we bet it will probably be very expensive.

The Huffington Post reports Kendall's Sweet 16 E! special will follow Kendall as she goes car shopping with her parents and contemplates getting a tattoo. Us Weekly says their inside sources even say Kendall may get another huge surprise in the form of a concert from a major entertainer like Nicki Minaj or Kanye West -- so much for a low-key event.

Regardless of the birthday party bash or gifts given, it's safe to say Kendall will be celebrating her birthday with her close-knit family. Older sister Khloe Kardashian tweeted, "Happy Birthday Kendal!!!!!!!!!! I love you more than you know!!!."

Kendall Jenner's super Sweet 16 gift

While older sister Kim Kardashian is still sobbing over the demise of her marriage, her little sister Kendall Jenner had a birthday bash to remember.

Kendall Jenner surely had a Sweet 16 birthday bash to remember — the up-and-coming model got a brand new 2012 black Range Rover as a gift from her family. Reports say the vehicle that Jenner received is worth $90,000.

Kendall spent Saturday evening with her closest friends and family partying at her Sweet 16 birthday bash, which was held at the Andaz Hotel in Hollywood, where Rapper Tyga performed for the birthday girl and her guests.

"Kendall was thrilled and jumped right in the car with friends," an insider told Us Weekly. "She spent about fifteen minutes in there checking everything out, oohing and aahing over the car. She was in the driver's seat and her friends were crowding around her inside the car."

Her sister Khloe Kardashian and hubby Lamar Odom were in good spirits for the soiree. Kardashian, 27, reportedly told her kid sister's friends, "Let's go party! That's the only wasted you can get — chocolate wasted!"

Even though she still can't smile for the cameras, Kim Kardashian also made it to the party despite missing out on the family festivities last week for her mother Kris Jenner's and brother-in-law Odom's birthday celebrations. The reality TV celebrity and budding actress was reportedly in Minnesota trying to work things out with her soon-to-be ex-husband Kris Humphries.

Jenner was planning to get a tattoo -- with her parents' permission -- when she turned 16 on Nov. 3, but decided not to at the last minute. Tattoo artist Mario Barth told Us Weekly that while Jenner "loved the design" he came up with, she wasn't 100 percent sure and decided to wait.

We're sure the Range Rover will make her forget about getting inked for now.

Kendall Jenner receives a $90,000 Sweet 16 gift

Though her older sister Kim Kardashian is still in the spotlight due to the end of her not-even-three-month marriage, little sis Kendall Jenner was the star of the family this weekend. Kendall spent the weekend celebrating her 16th birthday in style and she received an amazing gift from her family. But was it appropriate?

Kendall Jenner - Sweet 16Kendall Jenner spent Saturday night out with her friends and relatives at her Sweet 16 party. The bash took place at the Andaz Hotel in Hollywood and the VIP guest list, of course, included her sisters Khloe and Kim Kardashian and the rest of the family, including Khloe's husband Lamar Odom of the Los Angeles Lakers.

Many girls get new cars for their Sweet 16, but not many get a brand new 2012 black Range Rover valued at $90,000 like Kendall did. When you are part of the Kardashian family, everything is over the top.

"Kendall was thrilled and jumped right in the car with friends," an insider told Us Weekly. "She spent about fifteen minutes in there checking everything out, oohing and aahing over the car. She was in the driver's seat and her friends were crowding around her inside the car."

How young is too young for an expensive car?

When you see a young celebrity with access to a lot of money, it begs the question, "How much is too much?" Should a 16-year-old girl, no matter her status, get a $90,000 vehicle as a birthday gift?

On one side of the coin, you could say that she's accustomed to a certain level of wealth and a $90,000 SUV to her might be equivalent to a $9,000 car to most teens. However, some would argue that you can't just hand over the keys to something that expensive to anyone so young. Your average 16-year-old doesn't have the maturity or common sense to handle something that expensive. Yet Jenner isn't your average 16-year-old.

More Kardashian reality shows in the pipeline

Get ready for a whole lot more of the Kardashians. E! is considering launching up to four more TV series about the reigning First Family of Reality TV.

Hey E! -- ever consider changing your name to K!, instead? The entertainment network says its threatening planning to produce up to four more reality soaps about Kim, Kourt and the rest of the world-famous Kardashian Klan.

The broadcaster's schedule is already dominated by Keeping Up with the Kardashians and its spin-offs, Kourtney & Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney & Kim Take New York and Khloe & Lamar -- all about the adventures of various Kardashian family members.

But there's still plenty of material for more programming.

Just ask E! boss Bonnie Hammer.

Hammer tells The Hollywood Reporter that she hopes there are "two, three, even four new Kardashian [spinoffs]" ready to roll by this time next year.

There are plans to launch a program revolving around family matriarch Kris Jenner, insiders say. There's also talk of a companion series featuring Jenner's two youngest daughters, teen models Kendall and Kylie, who technically aren't even Kardashians.

In fact, Hollywood Life is reporting that Kris is working hard behind-the-scenes to get her family out of the public relations nightmare Kim's quickie split from Kris Humphries has put them in.

Her solution? Pushing Kylie and Kendall into the public eye, in turn taking attention off of her older daughters.

"Kris wants E! to move ahead with their plans to tape a reality show centered around Kendall and Kylie…Kris thinks the time to do it is now," a source divulged. "She thinks it's perfect timing."

The insider continued, "She thinks a reality show about her two youngest daughters would take the heat off Kimmy and the whole divorce scandal."

Hammer predicts the franchise "will have its own life expectancy." After all, the latest season opener of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, featuring the breakdown of the short-lived Kardashian-Humphries marriage, drew the franchise's largest premiere viewership to date.

"We'll eventually get rid of the more Playboy trashy element and elevate E! to a fun, exciting and aspirational network," Hammer surmised.

Translation: E! will keeping pumping out TV shows about the family until baby Mason goes off to college and Kim trades in her Louboutins for a Hoveround.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner join the family business

Kendall and Kylie Jenner are joining the family business -- in more ways than one. In addition to their own reality show, the teens are launching their own jewelry line.

Kendall Jenner Kylie Jenner

If you thought that the Kardashian empire had to wind down eventually, you thought wrong.

We recently reported that more Kardashian reality shows are in the works -- and now the near-youngest of the brood, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, are expanding the family's empire with their own jewelry line.

The teens have inked a deal with Glamhouse to design a reasonably priced jewelry line aimed at girls ages 12-19.

"For a long time, I've looked to expand the Glamhouse brand portfolio with a younger, more affordable line," explained Glamhouse founder and president Pascal Mouawad. "With their popular show on E! Entertainment Television, millions of teenagers look to Kendall and Kylie for style advice, so they were truly a perfect fit for the company and I'm thrilled to partner with them."

Kendall and Kylie are super-psyched for their new endeavor, "We love accessories, and it's amazing that we're going to have our own line to be able to wear everyday -- and for our friends to wear, too!" they said.

This isn't the first celebrity line carried by Glamhouse. The firm also handles House of Harlow by Nicole Richie, Belle Noel by Kendall and Kylie's big sis Kim Kardashian and Low Luv by Erin Wasson.

"Glamhouse is a destination for fashion jewelry and accessories designed by celebrities, stylists and famous designers," reads a company statement. "As the fourth generation jeweler of the prestigious Mouawad diamond house, Pascal has long cultivated strong connections with the glamorous world of Hollywood. Through Glamhouse, Pascal builds on his relationships with artists and celebrities, giving them the creative freedom to design fashion jewelry collections under their own label while receiving his guidance and expertise."

Kendall Jenner, 16, is a fashion model whose latest shoot for Lovecat magazine raised eyebrows for being quite risqué for the young teen. Kylie Jenner, 14, also models. The sisters were named Style Stars of 2011 by Seventeen Magazine.

The annual Kardashian Christmas card has just been released – and this time it is in 3D! Check out the dreary photo and the hidden message to Kris Humphries.

In case you feel like you haven't seen quite enough of the Kardashian's, the 2011 Kardashian Christmas card comes to life in 3D. The somber-looking card was unveiled on Kim Kardashian's blog.

Kris Jenner, Kourtney, Khloe and Kim Kardashian

"Here it is! Our 2011 Kardashian/Jenner family Christmas card!!!" Kim writes. "It was shot by the amazing Nick Saglimbeni and there's a special 3D version that you can view with 3D glasses. What do you guys think?"

Check out the 2011 Kardashian Christmas card>>

The card features the entire family suited up in black and white tuxedo fashions, except for Kris Jenner who is wearing a sequined teal gown. The photo has somewhat of a somber feel to it, however Kim seems happy with it.

"I love our family Christmas cards shoots and I think this one looks amazing!" Kim writes.

Momager Kris agrees, telling all her twitter followers to check out the "2011 Khristmas Kard" and writing on her website, "This is the first time we've done our card in 3D! We sent it out to all of our closest friends and family with special 3D glasses for viewing the card!!!!"

Taking a closer look at the card, a newly single Kim is standing with a defiant look and stance as a mysterious empty chair sits behind — perhaps as a message to her soon-to-be-ex Kris Humphries?

Rising stars Kylie and Kendall Jenner pose near each other, while Rob Kardashian looks off in the distance on his own. Khloe Kardashian poses next to her husband, Lamar Odom, while a pregnant Kourtney Kardashian wears a skin-tight belted dress and reveals not even a hint of a baby bump.

Last year's Kardashian Christmas card was just as glam, but they had softer expressions on their face. This year's card shows not even a hint of a smile -- not even from adorable Mason who is decked out in a tuxedo and posed next to the mysterious empty chair.

Kendall Jenner: Kourtney Kardashian is mean

Kendall Jenner says Kourtney Kardashian is mean and Khloe gets jealous when she goes to Kim for advice. Read on to see what else she dishes about her sisters.

Kendall JennerKendall Jenner has several options to turn to when she's in need of advice -- but as we've seen on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, even a simple question can cause family infighting.

The budding model says that while she has no favorite among sisters Kylie Jenner and Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, she definitely has her opinions on who gives the best advice -- and who gives the worst.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner join the family business>>

Kendall told Billy Bush of Access Hollywood that for advice on friendships she goes to Kourtney -- but since she's the mean sister, that often backfires.

"…sometimes Kourtney, she's just like, she doesn't care, so she could be like mean about things," Kendall revealed.

For love advice it's split between Khloe and Kim Kardashian, but Kendall definitely has her preference.

"It's so hard right now. Sometimes, we go to Kim, but then when we go to Kim, Khloe is like, 'Why are you going to Kim? Like, I have the husband!'" Kendall laughed, mocking Kim's marital woes.

Khloe, who by all appearances is by far the most normal of the entire family, "just gives good advice about everything," said Kendall.

The teen will have to start racking up the long distance bills to get advice from her big sister from here on out. Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom just moved to Dallas after he was traded to the Mavericks while Kendall's modeling career is taking off.

Kendall Jenner rips mom for embarrassing party

At least one of the Kardashian/Jenner clan has a good head on her shoulders: Kendall Jenner refuses her mother's extravagant Sweet 16 party plans.

Kendall Jenner nixes Kris Jenner's birthday party ideas

It looks like Kendall Jenner is about the only person in the Kardashian/Jenner clan who doesn't like things over-the-top and super glam. The 16-year-old model was livid that her mother, Kris Jenner, wanted to take her Sweet 16 party to the Bahamas.

"You're trying to make this bigger and bigger and it's embarrassing me," Kendall complained on the E! special Kendall's Sweet 16. "You're just giving me this [over-the-top party], you're just handing me this and I don't want it!"

Wow! Kim Kardashian needs to take a page out of her teen sister's playbook.

Mega-momager Kris finally backed down and let Kendall celebrate her birthday her own way: At a West Hollywood hotel. Kendall then asked for donations for the sick children at Children's Hospital Los Angeles in lieu of gifts.

"For my mom to be like, 'Oh, we're going to have this huge, extravagant party,' and to think those kids can't even go to a party because they're sitting in a hospital bed, it's just really sad," she said on the show.

That doesn't mean Kendall went without lavish gifts — her parents ended up giving her a Range Rover and handed out $1,000 gift bags to her guests. The one thing she decided not to do: Get a tattoo.

"I know it's exciting to do something so you can show everyone. That's what I did when I got my boobs done. Afterwards, I regretted it so much," Kendall's oldest — and meanest — sister Kourtney Kardashian told her over the phone. "It's a tattoo. It's there forever."

She decided to wait on the tattoo, for now.

Whoa — a Kardashian with a good head on her shoulders? Never thought we'd see the day!

Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner: Jewelry designers?

Do you know who Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are? You will, soon — mama Kris Jenner is busy pushing her two youngest daughters into the Kardashian empire. First up? Their own jewelry line.

Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner starting their own jewelry line

Sick of Kim Kardashian and the rest of the Kardashian clan? You're not the only one. However, we're not yet sick of the two youngest in the Kardashian/Jenner family: Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.

We might be sick of them soon, though — the teenage duo signed with Glamhouse and designer Pascal Mouawad to design their own jewelry line. Glamhouse might sound familiar — it's the same company that teamed with sister Kim to produce her Belle Noel line and Nicole Richie's House of Harlow 1960.

"Millions of teenagers look to Kendall and Kylie for style advice," Mouawad told Women's Wear Daily in mid December. "They were truly a perfect fit for the company and I'm thrilled to partner with them."

The budding models and entertainment moguls are pretty excited, too.

"We love accessories, and it's amazing that we're going to have our own line to be able to wear everyday — and for our friends to wear, too!" they said in a statement. Their pieces will retail for $19.99 to $69.99.

Kendall and Kylie broke out in 2011 with their roles in Keeping Up with the Kardashians and modeling — Kendall walked in Sherri Hill's Spring 2012 fashion show during New York Fashion Week in September, while Kylie took the catwalk at Abbie Dawn.

So, where do the teens get their style influence? Their older sisters, of course! "Our sisters are pretty much our inspiration," Kendall, 16, told People in 2011.

"I love Kourtney's style, because it's different every day," added Kylie. "She just wears what she likes, and that's what I like about it."

They even have similar fashion tastes, even if they don't plan it that way.

"Usually one of us will find an outfit and then the other one tries to go with it," Kendall said. The duo even wore similar blue dresses to the Prom premiere.

"We didn't even realize it until we got downstairs and we were like, 'Oh my God!'"

Kardashians getting $40M big ones in new E! deal

$
0
0
Apparently enough people still want to be Keeping Up with the Kardashians -- E! has just signed them to a three-year, $40 million dollar contract to stay with the network.

Keeping Up With the Kardashians gets $40 million deal

Hoping that Keeping Up with the Kardashians would be canceled? You'll have to keep waiting — E! just signed the K family to a three-year deal worth a collective $40 million.

Yes, you read that right: 40. Million. Dollars.

Apparently Kim Kardashian, her mom Kris Jenner, step-dad Bruce Jenner and sisters Khloe Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian get equal shares. Kendall and Kylie Jenner— along with brother Rob Kardashian — are on the lower end of the pay scale, according to TMZ. Scott Disick and his son with Kourtney, Mason Disick, have their own deals, as does Khloe's husband, Lamar Odom.

Oh, and that amount is only for Keeping Up with the Kardashians— a new spinoff show would require a new deal. You can call Kris a lot of things, but she is one shrewd businesswoman when it comes to cashing in on her family.

Where does all that business sense come from? After all, she doesn't seem like the brow-beating mogul type on the surface.

"I spent a lot of time very young paying attention to what was going on around me and I think that somehow seeped in," the momager said during The Hollywood Reporter's Power 100 Women in Entertainment breakfast in December 2011.

"And then my mom and my grandmother ran businesses and stores from the time that they were really young. So I think you watch, you do and you learn from your parents. I also wanted to teach that to my girls and I love that they have developed this amazing work ethic, and that's how they live their lives," she continued.

Another part of it comes from wanting to set up her family for life.

"My fantasy is to have Keeping Up with the Kardashians, season 26," Jenner told The Hollywood Reporter in a 2012 cover story. "Who knew it would be this profitable? I should have had more kids."

Trouble in K-Land? Kris Jenner denies feud with daughters

Is there trouble in Kardashian paradise? Yes, according to one gossip report. Are Kim and the crew looking to get rid of their mother as manager?

A Kardashian family feud brewing?

Is Kris Jenner's days as "momager" of her daughters Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian numbered? Yes, according to a new cover story in InTouch magazine. The gossip magazine said that the K girls are blaming their mother for everything from Kim's failed marriage to Kris Humphries to Khloe's recent marriage troubles with hubby Lamar Odom.

A source went on to say that Kim is trying to renegotiate her contract as a spokeswoman of Las Vegas nightclub Tao without the help of her mother. Also, Kris supposedly threw a party in NYC on April 22 that her daughters ditched. However, Jenner is calling B.S. on the rumors.

Anna Wintour banned Kim Kardashian from the Met Gala>>

"Yet another ridiculous story," Kris, 56, wrote on her blog. "I never threw a party anywhere on April 22nd, however our entire family was in NYC filming season 7 of Keeping Up With the Kardashians and having the time of our lives!!"

"My daughters and I have an amazing relationship and I feel like the luckiest mom in the world to spend such quality time with all my kids and my grandson!" she wrote. "We are truly blessed!!! Happy Mother's Day!!!"

We think Jenner is telling the truth on this one, especially since daughters Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner — along with Kourtney's boyfriend Scott Disick — hacked into her Twitter account to post some pretty disgusting messages.

Kim Kardashian's new goals: Adoption AND pregnancy? >>

"Holy s*** stains," they wrote on her account. "I just sharted myself. That's when u fart and u s*** yourself on accident!" They also added a photo of a steaming pile of… well, you know.

Jenner might not have written the offending tweets, but she does rep a line of adult diapers. It would've been an effective marketing campaign, don't you think?

"Uh yes I got hacked so sorry dolls!!!! I'm guessing it's @ScottDisick ??? Or @KendallJenner @Kylie Jenner ??? Thoughts???!!!!!!!" Kris wrote after she regained control of her account.

Kylie and Kendall Jenner get (not so) deep in Seventeen

Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner are quickly ascending the ranks of the Kardashian empire with their multiple projects and photo shoots. Their latest? A gig as fashion contributors to Seventeen magazine.

Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner start new jobs at Seventeen

Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner started their new jobs as West Coast contributors for Seventeen magazine — and they're starting off their gig by talking about their favorite fashion items and, of course, their famous sisters.

The gist? Khloe Kardashian is the sister that gives the best advice and has the best shoes, while Kourtney Kardashian has the best style and Kim Kardashian gives good business tips. Basically, it's nothing we haven't heard before from this superficial family.

But, we digress: Kendall, 16, and Kylie, 14, seem like sweet girls who are being groomed early for the family business. The pair's fashion diary will start in the June/July issue of the teen magazine and we're sure it'll be a groundbreaking study in fashion if Kendall's recent interview for Teen Prom magazine is any indication.

On why she chose the prom dress for the cover:

"The reason I chose this dress as one of my dresses to pose in was... 'cause it... I just like it. The colors are pretty," she said.

On her favorite singer:

"The person that I'm listening to right now would actually have to be Katy Perry just 'cause she gets me really like pumped up and happy," she said.

On her ideal prom date:

"My ideal prom date would have to be cute, funny, sweet, nice. I don't know. Just come up to me and talk to me," she advised male suitors. "I'm looking forward to my prom because I'm just excited to have fun, be with my friends and dance the night away."

Why she loves photo shoots:

"My favorite thing about doing photo shoots is just being able to have fun, meeting new people, getting dressed up and I just love doing it. So, I love fun."

Riveting. Again, we have to give these girls some slack because they're young, though these are probably the same deep answers we'd get from Kim and Kourtney, too.

While the real action at Wimbledon was on the court, famous fans Kate and Pippa Middleton got all the love. Seated in the royal box, the siblings couldn't help but court attention for their girls' day out. Take a look at the other celebrity sisters we can't keep our eyes off of.

When the prince is away, the duchess will play — or at least watch others do so. On July 8, Duchess Kate took in the Wimbledon finals, where she and sis Pippa watched Roger Federer pull out the win against Andy Murray. The brunette beauties were caught on camera giggling, leaning in to share secrets and looking every bit the besties they are. Whether the two are hitting the slopes together in France or catching rays in Mustique, Kate and Pippa always seem to enjoy holding court with each other.

After shooting to fame on the super successful Sister, Sister series, identical twins Tia and Tamera Mowry branched off to pursue solo careers. Happily, the ladies have come back together for the Style Network's hit series Tia & Tamera. As infectiously bubbly as ever, the titular twosome tackle careers as working actresses with families. Both are married and constantly cooing over Tia's baby boy Cree, who will soon have to share attention with a cousin rumored to arrive in November.

Emily and Zooey Deschanel in Century City, California

Zooey and Emily Deschanel

As star of the crime-stopping caper series Bones , Emily Deschanel has been winning us over for seven seasons as the brilliant but socially awkward Dr. Temperance Brennan. Her little sister, Zooey, was likewise wowing us with quirky — and scene-stealing — performances in movies like Elf, Failure to Launch and 500 Days of Summer. So what happens when the two share the screen? Media magic. Zooey's cameo on Bones' 2009 Christmas episode marked one of the most memorable the show has ever had. We couldn't be happier to see Zooey now racking up accolades as kooky 20-something Jess Day in her own hit series, New Girl.

They've caught some flak for sauntering around in skimpy bikinis, but we're inclined to cut the youngest members of the Kardashian clan some slack . Sure, they could stand to show a little less skin, but it seems like these girls have good heads on their shoulders — they're just getting overshadowed by other parts of their anatomy. On Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kendall and Kylie come off as privileged, yes, but also surprisingly sweet and down-to-earth.

Who knew petite powerhouses Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had a little sister who could actually act? While Mary-Kate and Ashley were cloyingly cute on Full House playing precocious toddler Michelle, they've since found much more success outside the realm of acting — namely, in fashion. Their younger sib, Elizabeth, shares the natural beauty of her twin sisters, but earned her place in Hollywood on pure talent... her breakout role in the movie Martha Marcy May Marlene wowed critics .

Kendall and Kylie Jenner may be mini-Kardashians, but these teens leave their diva birthright at the door in this interview with Seventeen magazine.

Kendal and Kylie JennerWho's their favorite sis?

"If I could trade places with any of my sisters for a day, it would be Kim. I want to see what it's like," Kendall revealed. "The only time she sleeps is on the airplane. It's just crazy. I feel bad for her, but I still want to know what it's like."

Do they love or loathe each other?

"Kim and Kourtney were constantly fighting when they were our age, and then they reached a point where they flipped and loved each other and they were best friends," Kendall said. "Now, Kylie is my best friend -- we have so much fun... I feel like she brings out the best in me."

What's the deal with Cody Simpson?

"Cody and I are just good friends. That's it," Kylie insists. "But we can say that as much as we want and people are still going to gossip."

On their overprotective dad

"[Now that I can drive], my dad [Bruce Jenner] goes crazy. He automatically thinks I'm sneaking out if I leave the house without telling him," Kendall said. "He calls me and asks where I am and I'm like, 'I'm getting food! What do you think I'm doing in the middle of the day?'"

What would their spinoff be about?

"It would be about the adventures we go on," Kendall explained. "We go on lots of adventures. We do crazy stuff! We will kidnap one of our friends or get a group together and go to Disneyland for the night. We do what we want to do. We're just like, 'Let's make it happen! That sounds so fun!'"

The 16-year-old is already a model and has a column in Seventeen magazine. But for her next project, she will step into the world of acting.

Kendall Jenner takes up acting in Kendall Jenner is no stranger to life in the public eye. The 16-year-old daughter of former Olympian decathlete Bruce Jenner and Kris Jenner is also a half-sister of the Kardashian sisters.

Jenner has now said she wants to change things up a bit and branch out to acting.

The actress's rep has confirmed to Access Hollywood that she will be appearing on Hawaii Five-O this fall.

"The budding model/actress will play a sales assistant in the crime drama, which stars Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan and Daniel Dae Kim," said Access Hollywood.

The 16-year-old wrote on her Celebuzz page how excited she is to embark on this new opportunity.

"I am SO excited to reveal to you all that I am going to be making my acting debut on Hawaii Five-O!!" she said. "My episode will air in October this year, and I can't wait to get started on filming."

"Kendall is not the first Kardashian-Jenner sister to be bitten by the acting bug — Khloe Kardashian has appeared on 90210 and Law & Order: LA," said Access Hollywood, "while Kim Kardashian has made appearances on CSI: NY, Last Man Standing, and is currently enjoying a small role on Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva."

Even though Jenner is just moving into acting, she's no stranger to the biz. In 2010, when she was just 14 years old, People named her one of their Most Beautiful People. She is also a signed model with Wilhelmina Models.

Kendall and her sister Kylie recently started writing a column for Seventeen magazine. "Kendall & Kylie's Fashion Journal" first appeared in the June/July issue of the magazine, which came out May 22.

Hawaii Five-O has added another actor to its growing cast. Terrence Howard, who recently starred in the film Red Tails, will appear on an upcoming episode.

Terrence Howard guest stars on Hawaii Five-O

Hawaii Five-O is hitting the ground running. The upcoming third season will be chock-full of notable guests, including an Academy Award nominee. Terrence Howard will appear in an episode in which he spends some quality time with Scott Caan's Danny Williams.

Terrence Howard says he was born to star in Red Tails>>

According to Entertainment Weekly, Howard won't travel to the island, but he'll get plenty of screen time. His character will appear in a series of flashbacks linked to Danny's New Jersey past. Prior to Danny's move, he did a stint on the Newark, N.J., police force. It's a fact he rarely lets anyone forget — specifically McGarrett .

The clash of his East Coast sensibility and McGarrett's laid-back demeanor is one of the show's staples.

From what we hear, Howard's character and Danny aren't best buds, which makes us wonder: Why are they exploring their relationship now? Something must be up. We love any opportunity to learn more about the characters, so bring it on!

Aside from Howard, Christine Lahti has snagged a recurring role as McGarrett's not-so-dead mother. Ed Asner will return as master thief August March, and Kardashian sibling Kendall Jenner will make her acting debut this season.

Lahti will appear on the premiere episode Sept. 24., while Howard and Jenner will air sometime in October.

Kendall & Kylie Jenner in danger? Social workers called

Are Kendall and Kylie Jenner being physically or emotionally abused inside the home featured on Keeping Up With the Kardashians? Someone apparently thinks so and has called police in an effort to protect the Jenner family's youngest members.

Kendal and Kylie Jenner

The Jenner family is now officially on file with a case logged by the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. An anonymous caller believes Kendall and Kylie Jenner, young reality stars thanks to the family's Keeping Up With the Kardashians fame, are in danger and distress.

While the validity of the Kendall and Kylie Jenner abuse tip was questionable from the start, social services and police are obligated to investigate any and all reports made.

On Friday, several officials paid a visit to the Calabasas home of Bruce and Kris Jenner in order to do a welfare check on their daughters, 16-year-old Kendall and 15-year-old Kylie.

RadarOnline reports an unnamed source confided to them, "Social workers met with the girls individually and determined that they were fine, but out of an abundance of caution, cops and social workers will be making another visit to the house Monday afternoon, before they officially close the case. Under California law, anytime a call is made to DCFS alleging that a minor is in danger, whether of physical or emotional abuse, it must be investigated."

Speaking of the emotional toll the investigation has taken on the family, a source added, "Kris and Bruce were obviously upset that someone said their girls were in danger, because it's just not true. Bruce and Kris cooperated fully with social workers and the police. They have nothing to hide, and [they] understand that the authorities are just doing their jobs."

Oopsie! Kris Jenner tweets costume nip slip>>

Not everyone is interested in taking the high road, however. As word of the Kendall and Kylie Jenner welfare investigation spreads, Twitter jokesters are firing off their best wisecracks, most of which have been aimed squarely at the Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan.

"Poor girls finally shopped till they dropped," tweeted one user Monday.

"This is sick!!!!! Child abuse is not FUNNY in any way shape or form," a more serious commenter added. "Get a life pranker."

Others have commented and taken jabs at "momager"Kris Jenner.

"They aren't making mommy enough money," one person wrote, while another tweeted, "Kris Jenner [probably] put the call in herself. #anythingforpublicity."
